Field Hockey Equipment:
What You Need to Get Started
If you’re signed up for one of our programs and have questions about what equipment is required, you’re in the right place! Here’s a detailed guide to ensure your athlete is well-prepared for every session.
Required Equipment
This page includes links to examples of equipment to guide you. However, these are not endorsements of specific products or companies.
Mouthguard:
Safety comes first, and we strongly recommend wearing a mouth guard during practices and games. It's a vital accessory that protects your teeth and reduces the risk of injuries, including concussions. Make sure you have a properly fitted mouthguard before arriving to practice or camp.
Shin Guards with Ankle Protection:
Investing in quality shin guards with ankle protection is crucial to shield your legs from impact. Trust us, you don't want to experience the alternative - it's not a pleasant feeling! Remember to wear your shin guards in every practice to ensure your safety and comfort during play.
Hockey Stick:
Of course, a field hockey stick is a must-have for all the action on the field! If you're new to the sport, we've got you covered. Refer to our field hockey stick sizing chart to choose the right stick for your height and playing style.
**We also offer loaner sticks free of charge. If you are a first-time player, we highly recommend trying out a loaner stick before making a purchase. Simply email us before camp starts to let us know you'll be using a loaner stick.
*Goggles or face shields are not required, but athletes are welcome to wear them if they prefer.
