Empowering Athletes
on and off the field
Field Hockey programs designed to teach leadership, build character, and inspire confidence.
We are more than field hockey. Through game-based play and our signature Play Beyond the Game lessons, we empower athletes to grow as leaders on and off the field—building character, confidence, and resilience every step of the way.
Spring Season
Our spring season offers programs for athletes of all ages and skill levels, from 1st graders picking up a stick for the first time to high school players seeking competitive opportunities. With an emphasis on skill development, leadership, and growth, our programs provide a joyful, holistic experience that goes beyond the game.

What Sets us Apart
Discover how we blend field hockey with life lessons to empower athletes. From our game-based approach to our unique “Play Beyond the Game” curriculum, we focus on fostering leadership, resilience, and a growth mindset. Our programs are intentionally designed to support athletes’ physical, mental, and emotional development, creating confident individuals ready to tackle any challenge.
Our Story
We began with a vision use sport as a vehicle—teaching life skills through play. What started as a passion for field hockey has grown into a mission to empower athletes of all abilities with lessons in leadership, character, and resilience. By weaving joy and intention into everything we do, we’re shaping athletes who are not only skilled on the field but also prepared for life beyond the game.
We Embrace Failure!
Failure is often seen as something to avoid, but at Beyond Sticks, we see it as a critical part of growth. Coach JoJo shares how she continued to return as a player and now a coach for our programs as it helped her reframe failure—from a fear to a tool for learning and progress.
Let JoJo tell you more.
