Where did 2011 go? It seems like yesterday we were driving through the dessert with Beyond Sticks’ first travel team ECFH: NoVA for the USA Field hockey festival. Since then, our indoor team has formed and camps for the summer are about ready to open for Registration.
Right now indoor field hockey is in full swing. We are attending our first USA field hockey tournament next weekend and have been practicing since before Christmas. As a bit of a test, we scrimmaged another new club from Texas on Sunday. It was eye opening for many of the players that have never played indoor before, let alone a full game. Seeing as this weekend ECFH: NoVA heads up to State College, PA, to play in an NIT qualifier, it was a great experience to get us ready for the big tournament.
